Harris County – Today, Alexandra del Moral Mealer, a Republican candidate for Harris County Judge, released the following statement upon advancing into the runoff with the greatest share of votes in the Republican primary field.
“Since our campaign launch last year, my mission has been to amplify the priorities of Harris County residents,” said Alexandra. “These priorities – safe neighborhoods, accelerating flood resiliency, accountable governance, and a functional criminal justice system – are universal, and the next Harris County Judge must lead by focusing first on these fundamental duties. Last night, we witnessed the result of citizens making their voices heard. Our momentum is just beginning and I am honored to have the support of so many people passionate about making a change in our County.”
Alexandra is a West Point graduate, a dual-degree holder from Harvard University (JD/MBA), and a proud wife and mother, blessed with two precocious toddlers who she is raising alongside her husband Clay, a fellow West Point graduate, and combat veteran. On November 11, 2021, she announced her plans to leave the private sector and her career in oil & gas finance to pursue a new stage of service.
